Helps keep you straight.

The Jack is Seed's take on an alignment device, designed to help improve your putting accuracy, alignment and stroke.

The two large side circles create a strong visual alignment aid, allowing you to more easily line the ball to the hole.

The circle device also provides an instant diagnostic tool for the putting stroke, swing path and strike.

A balanced and centred stroke will result in the ball rolling true and straight, with the circles creating a visual affirmation (straight, clean roll). An open or closed putter face, an overly inside or across the line stroke will all cause the circles to “wobble” after impact, indicating a less than perfect strike.

The off-centre roll provides immediate visual feedback regarding the stroke and path. If stroke is an issue, the golfer also can turn the ball 90° and visually see the skid, spin and roll characteristics of the ball from their stroke.

This can be very useful for teaching professionals or anyone who is videoing the putting action looking for more visual feedback.

In research conducted by Seed, 86% of golfers found improved results on 6ft putts by using The Jack over traditional single line alignment device.

The Jack alignment device is available on the SD-01 The Pro golf ball, White only.

Nice Ball

Great ball for putting with. I took a bit of stick from playing partners to start with but when they seen it rolling they got it.
Personally ball is a bit hard for me compared to the original sd-01 but would recommend to anyone that would normally play pro V1x or tp5x.

It’s a good ball with good feel around the greens. I don’t think I’m hitting it any further but it feels like there’s less spin on the ball

The ball of choice

I really like The Jack. It feels great around the greens and i think i am more stable from the tee. I gained around 10 meters on my irons. I tested a lot of ball in the early season. This will be my ball for the season. The alignment feature saved me some puts per round. No need to buy the more expensive ProV1 anymore.

This is not an SD-01 - be aware of that folks.

I bought The Jack SD-01 ball, in good faith that it would help my putting (which it defiantly did! I love the pathway, much easier to align and aim with this one!), but the feel of it, the sound of it, the softness. It was all gone.
This is a much harder ball, more "clicky" and the feel around the green is not the same as on SD-01. And it is not as durable neither. Scuff-marks came quickly on The Jack.
I wrote to Seed about my concerns, and yes, they agree. They have created a ball with thinner outer layer and a whole bunch of new technology, to produce more spin and more speed. This is all good, and they have. It´s a long hitting ball! But marketing wise, the name SD-01 needs to be removed from "The Jack". Because the SD-01 I know and love, is a much more enjoyable golf ball, softer, more touchy feel.

So if you want help with your putting, this is the ball to go for! But it´s important to know that it´s a different ball than the ordinary SD-01 one.

As I understand, Seed has taken this concern, and are very aware of the complaints, and are now producing a new "The Jack" pretty soon, which has more of the feel of a normal SD-01 ball. I can´t wait.
